Scaffold inspection tag on a galvanised tube

Scaffolding services in Essex, by trade

We put up scaffolding for other firms' jobs. Roofers, loft conversion companies, builders, renderers and small developers across Southend-on-Sea and Essex. One person surveys and prices it, our own crew erects it, and the tag on the standard is our word, dated and signed, that the scaffold was inspected and found fit for use as built on that date.

Every service, one process

Every job below runs the same way. Survey, one price, erect, adapt, dismantle. The person who measures up prices it, and the number on the tag is the one you ring if the plan changes.

  • Roofing scaffolding. Full perimeter lifts, chimney stack scaffolds, temporary roofs, edge protection, debris netting and a loading bay for the tiles. Re-roofs on semis and terraces.
  • Scaffolding for loft conversions. Front and rear lifts, a loading bay for the steels, adapted as the dormer goes on, a tin hat if the weather says so.
  • Extension and new build scaffolding. Single and double-storey extensions, refurbs, the return round the side, bridging over conservatories, and small new-build sites up to about 15 houses.
  • Scaffolding for rendering and painting. Full elevations at working height with clear lifts, so the finish is continuous. Access round bays and porches.
  • Domestic scaffolding. Your builder said sort the scaffold. Ring us and we survey it with them.

What every scaffold gets

  • A survey on site, not a price from photos.
  • Ties, lifts and the loading bay planned before we price.
  • Inspected before handover, after any adaptation, and at least every seven days while it is up, as the Work at Height Regulations require. The tag records it.
  • Adaptations by the same crew, on the same number.
  • Struck when you say, so the next trade can get in.

Where we do this

Southend-on-Sea and the postcodes around it: SS0 to SS9, SS11 to SS17, CM0 to CM5, CM8, CM9, CM11 to CM15, RM13 to RM20. Most of our work is in Southend-on-Sea, Leigh-on-Sea, Rayleigh, Basildon, Chelmsford, Brentwood, Upminster and Grays. If your postcode is on the list, we cover it. See all areas.

Not sure which service?

Tell us the trade and the job. A re-roof with a loft going in behind it gets one survey and one price. Contractors wanting one supplier for a programme should read our page for trade. Otherwise, request a survey.
