Privacy and cookies
This page says what we do with the details you give us through this website, who sees them, how long we keep them and what you can ask us to do. It is written to meet UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018 and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

Who we are
The data controller is Twincliff Scaffolding Services Ltd, company number 16843645. Registered office: Blue House Farm Office, Brentwood Road, West Horndon, Essex CM13 3LX. If you have a question about this policy or your data, email enquiries@twincliffscaffolding.com.
What we collect
When you send the survey form or the contact form we receive what you type into it: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, the site postcode, what the job is, when you need it up and anything else you tell us.
Our web host also keeps server logs. These include your IP address, the page you asked for, the time and your browser type. We use the IP address to limit how many times one connection can submit a form, which stops spam and abuse.
We do not collect anything else through the site.
Why we use it
We use your details to ring you back, arrange a survey, price the job and, if you go ahead, put the scaffold up and take it down. That is the whole purpose.
Our lawful bases are the steps needed before entering a contract with you (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR) and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and keeping our records straight (Article 6(1)(f)). For the server logs and rate limiting, the basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site running and secure.
We do not use your details for marketing unless you ask us to. We do not sell them.
Who we share it with
Four companies process data on our behalf. Each acts on our instructions and none of them may use your details for their own purposes.
- Resend delivers the form email to us. Your submission passes through their servers.
- Monday.com is our CRM. Enquiries may be added there so we can track the job from survey to strike.
- Vercel hosts the website and keeps the server logs.
- Our email is hosted by GoDaddy, so messages you send us are stored on their servers.
We may also share details when the law requires it, for example with HMRC or a court.
Some of these providers store data outside the UK. Where they do, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. Email us if you would like a copy of the safeguards that apply.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we need them to deal with the job and for our records afterwards. A job that goes ahead is kept with our business records for as long as tax and company law require. We review stored enquiries at least annually and delete what we no longer need. Server logs are kept by our host for a short period and then removed.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what we hold about you (access)
- correct anything that is wrong (rectification)
- delete your details where we have no reason to keep them (erasure)
- limit what we do with them while a query is settled (restriction of processing)
- give you a copy in a common machine-readable format (data portability)
- stop using your details where we rely on legitimate interest (objection)
Email enquiries@twincliffscaffolding.com and we will answer within one month. There is no charge.
If you are not happy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at https://ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Cookies
The site sets no analytics cookies and no advertising cookies. If that ever changes, a consent banner will appear first and nothing is set until you accept it.
The site may set strictly necessary cookies or similar storage that the pages need to work, for example to remember that a form was sent. These do not track you and do not need consent under PECR.
If you message us on WhatsApp, that conversation is governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy as well as this one. WhatsApp is run by Meta and its policy is at https://www.whatsapp.com/legal/privacy-policy. We keep what you send us for the same reasons and for the same time as a form enquiry.
Children
This site is for trade customers and adults arranging building work. We do not knowingly collect details from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their details, email us and we will delete them.
Changes
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
